Graduate Associate Program
Purpose

The Rampart Chapter Graduate Associate Program has been established primarily to broaden the chapter’s direct support to the Cadet Wing. A secondary purpose is to establish a positive Association of Graduates (AOG) presence and identity among the cadets. The Graduate Associate Program can support both objectives by creating a positive, personal, and non-intrusive graduate involvement with cadet squadrons.

Policies

1. The graduate associate’s role is to offer presence, experience and constructive assistance to the assigned cadet squadron.
2. A graduate associate will be nominated for each cadet squadron. Nominees will be full members of the Rampart Chapter who have volunteered to serve in this capacity and have agreed to abide by the policies and guidelines contained herein.
3. A squadron Air Officer Commanding (AOC) may decline the assignment of a particular nominee without prejudice. Should this occur, the Chapter President will solicit additional volunteers from Chapter members and will nominate a replacement. This process will continue until a nominee is found who is acceptable to the AOC.
4. A squadron AOC may, at his or her sole discretion, request that additional graduate associates be assigned to the squadron.
5. The graduate associate will be an AOC resource. The AOC will retain total control regarding the type and amount of graduate involvement in squadron activities.
6. If, for any reason, an AOC determines that the participation by the assigned graduate associate is not supporting the AOC’s goals for the squadron, the assigned graduate associate will be released without prejudice and without question. The change shall be requested through the Rampart Chapter President who will nominate a replacement using the process in paragraph 3.
7. An assigned graduate associate may at any time request to be relieved of assignment to a squadron. Should this occur, the Chapter President will nominate a replacement using the process in paragraph 3.

Guidelines

In order for the Graduate Associate Program to succeed, the AOCs and the cadets must view the graduate associate as a positive addition to the squadron. Therefore, each graduate associate is expected to conduct himself or herself in a constructive and supportive manner. The following guidelines should be carefully observed:
